Who we are
PaddockBuzz.com is an independent motorsports news publication operated by bWorks LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States. PaddockBuzz.com is the registered brand name of bWorks LLC, and in this policy "PaddockBuzz.com", "we", "us" and "our" mean bWorks LLC. We are the data controller for the information described here and can be reached at hello@paddockbuzz.com. This policy explains what we collect when you visit paddockbuzz.com and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Newsletter details. If you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email or on our unsubscribe page.
- Race reminders. If you ask to be reminded about a race, we store your mobile number solely to send that one reminder. We never share, sell, rent or trade your number with any third party. Once the reminder is delivered (or the race passes), the number is deleted.
- Usage analytics. Anonymous page views, referring site, approximate screen size and browser type, used to understand which stories readers enjoy.
- Account data. Only for staff who sign in to the Newsroom. Readers never need an account.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before any advertising or analytics cookies are set, and you can change that choice at any time. See our cookie policy for the detail.
You can manage Google's personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
Race reminders
When you sign up for a race reminder, you receive one notification on your phone, tablet or computer per race you opt into, sent approximately 30 minutes before the start time. No phone number is collected and no text messages are sent.
We store only the anonymous notification address your browser creates for this site, so we can deliver that alert. We do not share, sell, rent or trade it with anyone. Once the reminder is sent or the race passes, the reminder record is removed.
Alerts are free, though standard data charges from your internet or mobile provider may apply. You can stop them at any time by turning notifications off for paddockbuzz.com in your browser or phone settings, or email us at hello@paddockbuzz.com.
How we use your data
To deliver the site, send the newsletter and reminders you asked for, keep the site secure, and measure how our stories perform. We do not sell your personal data.
Who processes it
We rely on service providers to run the site: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider for the newsletter, and Google for advertising and analytics. They process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.
How long we keep it
Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Reminder details are removed once the event has passed. Analytics records are kept in aggregate form.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, change your cookie choices from the cookie policy page, and ask us to access or delete the personal data we hold about you by writing to hello@paddockbuzz.com. We will respond to requests within a reasonable time.
Children
PaddockBuzz.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page.
