Corvette’s Le Mans-winning trio leads the FIA World Endurance Championship’s LMGT3 standings, where one of the season’s tightest title fights is unfolding outside the Hypercar spotlight. TF Sport now has a strong platform for the five-round run to the finale.
Le Mans changes the picture
Victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans lifted TF Sport and Corvette into the LMGT3 championship lead after three rounds. The result matters greatly in a season where reliability, traffic management and precise execution can separate contenders as decisively as outright speed.
Corvette is now the hunted. Yet with only three races completed, the championship is far from settled.
TF Sport has a foundation
The leading Corvette crew turned endurance racing’s most demanding weekend into a championship advantage. TF Sport’s next assignment is less dramatic but just as important, score consistently when a victory is out of reach.
LMGT3’s format makes that harder. Professional and amateur-rated drivers share each car, so lineup balance, stint timing and sound judgment in traffic matter throughout the race distance.
Manthey applies pressure
Manthey’s podium at São Paulo brought the Porsche operation firmly back into contention. That recovery shows Corvette cannot treat its advantage as secure, especially with five events remaining.
Several manufacturers are involved in the title fight, each with distinct performance characteristics. Circuit layout, tire behavior and Balance of Performance can reorder the field from one weekend to the next. Consistency remains the most reliable currency.
COTA starts the decisive stretch
The WEC returns for Lone Star Le Mans at Circuit of The Americas from September 4-6. Fuji follows from September 25-27, then the championship heads to Barcelona from October 15-18 and Monza for the November 8 finale.
That schedule will test the leaders in different ways. COTA’s heat and technical layout will put tire management under pressure, while the final rounds offer rivals repeated chances to close an early deficit.
No room to protect the lead
Corvette begins the next phase in the position every team wants, but a cautious defense carries risks. Manthey has momentum, and LMGT3’s deep field means one poor race can quickly tighten the standings.
Attention now shifts to Texas, where TF Sport must show its Le Mans victory was the start of a championship-caliber campaign rather than a peak result.
